Star Wars Mashup

It seems lots of Star Wars fanatics are mixing characters from George Lucas’ classic film with other favorites, resulting in creative new twists.

“Darth Vader v. Barbie”? Who thinks up this stuff?
Who do you think prevails? You might be surprised!
This is a fun one.
The Stormtroopers got the moves, man!
“Stormtroopers Wonder Girls Dance”

And one more, Legos and Star Wars.
“Lego Star Wars – Luke Skywalker VS Darth Vader”
I think someone has too much time on their hands!

I wonder what George Lucas thinks of all this? Who woulda thunk back in 1977 that this would be the future of Star Wars? YouTube is exploding with this stuff.

Where would we be without creativity?

“We all operate in two contrasting modes, which might be called open and closed. The open mode is more relaxed, more receptive, more exploratory, more democratic, more playful and more humorous. The closed mode is the tighter, more rigid, more hierarchical, more tunnel-visioned. Most people, unfortunately spend most of their time in the closed mode. Not that the closed mode cannot be helpful.

“If you are leaping a ravine, the moment of takeoff is a bad time for considering alternative strategies. When you charge the enemy machine-gun post, don’t waste energy trying to see the funny side of it. Do it in the ‘closed’ mode. But the moment the action is over, try to return to the ‘open’ mode—to open your mind again to all the feedback from our action that enables us to tell whether the action has been successful, or whether further action is needed to improve on what we have done. In other words, we must return to the open mode, because in that mode we are the most aware, most receptive, most creative, and therefore at our most intelligent.”
~ John Cleese

Are you a Star Wars fan? If you could pick one of your favorite characters to fight Darth Vader, who would it be?

I think I’d like to see Katniss from THE HUNGER GAMES go up against him. Or maybe Bella from Twilight after she’s changed into a vampire. Nah, maybe not. That’s a no brainer, but maybe my old fav, Popeye, might make for an interesting match against Darth Vader!

Ha! Love the dancing storm troopers. I saw an outtake of the LOTR movie where the actors dressed as Orcs suddenly broke into dance. Very funny. Hobbits against Vader might be fun. 🙂

  9. Definitely Indiana Jones … the young one, not the old one. :)Thanks for a wonderfully entertaining post!

  10. Love the original Star Wars movies! After watching that first Youtube video and hearing Darth Vader breathing I was actually matching his breath–it's quite meditative. Lol.

  14. I am a Star Wars fanatic. Well, I don't collect the figurines etc. but if someone asks me in the middle of the night, waking me up from a deep sleep, "Do you want to watch Star Wars?", I would definitely agree. I love the original and the new movies :-)Awesome videos! Thanks for finding them and sharing 🙂

  15. Where on earth did you find the Stormtrooper dance girls?! Your brain is awesome and full of great ideas!

  16. Kelly Polark says:

I love Star Wars! Love these! We watch the Star Wars LEgo videos all the time, though some are inappropriate for my 1st grader, which I found out after viewing with him! (live and learn) He was laughing hysterically.I think the Greasers from the Outsiders should rumble with Vader.

  17. Old Kitty – I like the dancing Stormtroopers, too!Sonia – Buffy or Dexter would be fun to match against Vader!Comingalive – Oh, I'll have to look for that video!L.G. – Hobbits against Vader would be a hoot!Sheila – Yes, the Young Indiana Jones, for sure! Haha!

The photo in the header of your blog is one of the funniest ones I've seen! LOL!Julie – I had thought about Edward v. Vader. It would be over in a second! Angela – That's awesome! Stephanie – Thanks! You're too kind! LOL!Kelly – I wouldn't expect Legos videos to be PG13 or worse, but I guess on YouTube we should always expect the unexpected, huh? And the Greasers from the Outsiders against Vader, that would be cool!

  19. Marcy says:

Hilarious!! My husband is such a huge Star Wars fan. I'm forwarding him a link to this so that he can have a laugh this morning.

This was so much fun. I'd have to say I'd like to see Darth Vader vs the Borg.

  21. Lego Star Wars, FTW! I love Darth's polaroid. :)The Cleese quote is awesome. Leaping does take a certain amount of determined action. And keeping that creative mind open can make it difficult to not to get paralyzed by the choices. It can be a tricky balance.p.s. Darth vs. Buffy

  22. March – Cool! Thanks for forwarding to your hubby!Pat – Thanks! Glad you stopped by.Isis- Thanks for stopping by my site. That would be a good match, Darth v. the Borg!Susan – I'm so glad you like the quote. I thought it was pretty awesome, too. I bet Buffy could hold her own against Vader!

  23. Otter says:

I just watched everyone of those vids. You've got me hooked. Well played. I'll go with Darth Vader vs Liono from The Thundercats. And Liono can't call for help, lol.

  24. Loved the dancing Stormtroppers the best! I'd love to see Malcolm Reynolds from Firefly go up against him or to kick it old school, what about Wonder Dog?I go to Dragon*Con every year and my fave thing to take pics of are the stormtroopers dressed up as other characters (that being a stormtropper is their normal self and they come to the con and dress up as Sherlock Holmes or a zombie, or something) Love it!

  25. Otter – Thanks for stopping by and following! I'm not familiar with Liono. or The Thundercats. I'll have to keep an eye out and see what it's all about!Angela – Malcolm Reynolds is another one I haven't heard of, but I sure do remember Wonder Dog! Haha! Dragon*Con sounds cool. I'd like to see stormtroopers dressed as other characters. How fun!

  26. debrakristi says:

Very Fun Lynn! Love the Star Wars theme. I especially enjoyed the dancing stormtroopers. Although, Barbie besting Darth Vader with a mirror is pretty darn awesome!

  28. Otter says:

sry, I took it back to the 80s with the Thundercats, lol.

  29. Munir says:

I don't know, part of me still respects Darth Vader. If his son had to fight it was a different story, but any one else? I think not.

  30. Debra – Yep, those dancing Stormtroopers rock!Steven – Valdermort vs. Vader, wow, that would be cool. Makes a great title, too! Ha-ha!Otter – Oh, so Thundercats are from the '80s. I was busy having kids in the '80s. Didn't get out much. Hmm, well, I still don't get out much! LOL!Munir – I'm glad Vader saw the light in the end!
