“The Jobo Tree” is my short story for children ages 8 to 12. It appeared in the September 2006 issue of Highlights for Children magazine.
What a surprise when a month or so later I received an award for “Author of the Month.” It’s an 8-inch pewter plate engraved with “Author of the Month,” my name, the title of the story, the date, and the name of the publication.
