Life is never dull, especially when we have an unexpected fashion faux pas. I’ve had plenty in my life, but I’ll focus on one in particular.
For my 60th birthday (March 2016) my mom and youngest sister, Cindy, took me to lunch. I wanted them to help me make a short video of us dancing, which I planned to use for my blog post in August McLaughlin’s 2016 Beauty of a Woman Blog Fest. (Here’s the link to August’s blog if you want to read the other entries.)
So, I did a test run before Mom and Cindy arrived to make sure all three of us would fit in the shot. When I watched the test clip, I was surprised at how funny my pants looked while I was dancing. They weren’t harem pants, but they were doing a bad imitation.
Here’s the video:
I hurried and changed into another pair of pants so I’d look presentable in the video and at the restaurant for my birthday lunch.
I still have those off white pants. Two pairs, in fact. Same color. They’re stretchy and comfy and they were on sale! They fit just right when I bought them. That was over two years ago. Since then, they’ve stretched out more than they should and also shrunk a bit in the length. However, I still wear them quite often, but I never dance in them, and I try to remember to check my outfit in the mirror before going out in public.
