A wise person once said, “Write your name on the heart of a child.” We hope to emblazon our stories there.

My great-niece, Holly, a lovely tween.

Emblazon is a collection of authors–some indie, some traditionally
published–who have each produced at least one children’s novel. Our audiences
range from fifth grade to young adult, but we have a particular focus on ages
11 to 14. Some call them upper middle grade; others call them low young adult.
They’re somewhere in the middle and can lean either way. We call them Tweens.

  3. Congratulations on the new site Lynn! It’s a lot of work to put together something like this. And I think focusing on a group such as “Tweens” is a fantastic idea. They are a sweet group of kids who tend to get overlooked. Great job girl! 🙂

Thanks so much, Karen! I can’t take credit for putting the site together. Most of the site was done by the time I joined the group. We’ll all be taking turns posting and sharing our love for tween books. I agree that they’re sweet kids! Of course, I love all the different ages! 🙂

  11. Jennette says:

awesome idea! will check into it! As far as 11-14 age books, I LOVE Patrick Carman’s The Land of Elyon series, I think they might be for that age range, and Eion Colfer’s Artemis Fowl series. The Tales of Goldstone Wood is awesome, but I’m not sure what age they would be considered. Roald Dahl’s books. 🙂 I better stop now. 😉

    • Thanks for stopping in, Jennette, and for sharing some of your fave tween reads!I’m not familiar with Patrick Carman’s series. I like Elon Colfer’s Artemis Fowl books. I’ll have to check out The Tales of Goldstone. Roald Dahl’s books are the best! One of my fave children’s authors, and my kids loved his books, too, when they were young.

  12. Hey Lynn, what a great concept! And another exciting adventure. Congrats on the launch! 🙂
